Bring on November!!

Entering the season of thanks

Dear Walnut Ridge Parents and Guardians-

A message from Karen Stoeckel, Supervisor of Pre-K-

October was a wonderful and busy month at the Walnut Ridge Learning Academy!

On behalf of the Walnut Ridge teachers, I would like to thank the Highland Lakes Fire Department for visiting our school to talk about fire safety and prevention. Our students were thrilled to have you here and are eagerly anticipating a visit next year. Additionally, I'd like to thank all of the parents that came to visit our school during parent conferences and who shared personal stories of respect and kindness during "The Week of Respect". Your support and partnership are appreciated.

As we move into November, please be mindful of the following schedule changes:

  • November 7th-8th ~ No school ~ Teachers convention
  • November 21st ~ Early dismissal day
  • November 26th ~ Thanksgiving Feast (AM- 10:45-11:45 / PM- 2:00-3:00)
  • November 27th-28th ~ No school ~ Thanksgiving holiday
Big picture

STEM ~ Integrated Specials with Mrs. Demsak

Walnut Ridge students were busy designing and building houses from straws, wooden sticks, and Lego bricks to withstand the huffing and puffing from the Big Bad Wolf (aka ~ Mrs. Demsak). A wonderful learning experience was had by all!
