2023 Yearbooks are on sale on the AVHS website!
Get your yearbook now through January at a discounted price. Prices go up to full price beginning in February. This year’s theme is Take Note and the yearbook staff hopes to collect/take note of all the memories from the year for sports, arts, academics, clubs, activities, student life, the community, and more. We take suggestions from students for stories they might want to see in the book too. Have your student send us an email with their idea.
Senior parents: You can purchase and design a senior ad to be printed in the yearbook for well wishes for your senior! See our website at the link below with all of the information on how to design it and pick your size/cost! The deadline to complete senior ads is April 1st, 2023.

What happens if school is delayed or canceled due to the weather?
If ever wondering if there is a change to the school schedule due to weather, go to the Weather-Related Schedule Changes page. For the first two inclement weather days each year, school is canceled. Any after two would be E-Learning Days, with students learning from home.
Know if your child's bus will be late or delayed
Parents whose students ride the bus to and from school each day can track the location of their child’s bus using the smartphone application "Here Comes The Bus," which is available to download free on the Google Play Store for Android and App Store for iPhone. Parents can monitor buses for multiple children through a single account. Click here for information on setting up an account.

AVHS Alumni: Act of Kindness
2020 AVHS graduate Codey Zuelow was featured in a story that aired on WCCO. Codey comforted a customer at his tire shop who had just lost her mom. We are so proud of Codey for how he embodies our Valley Vision of respect and responsibility and for all of our Eagles who spread kindness in our community.

Share feedback on facilities recommendations through December 7
Our school district is facing an important decision on facilities that has implications for every school in the district. The administration wants to hear from as many stakeholders as possible before making a final recommendation to the School Board, so it has extended the deadline to submit feedback online through December 7. View a presentation about the recommendations and process, and share your feedback online.
Over the past year and a half, a district Facilities and Equipment Steering Committee reviewed existing facilities and needs in every area and developed a Facilities Master Plan with three phases of possible improvements over the next 10-plus years. The administration presented phase one improvements as preliminary recommendations under new business at the November 14 regular School Board meeting. Approximately 170 people attended three dialogue meetings on facilities held earlier this month, one each in Rosemount, Apple Valley and Eagan.
A summary of the input provided at the dialogues and online will be presented at the December 12 regular School Board meeting. The administration will use the input to guide its final recommendations for a district Facilities Master Plan, which will be presented as old business at the January 9 regular board meeting. The board will then decide whether to call for a bond referendum question, for which improvements and for how much.
Senior yearbook photo submission extended thru December 9th
