Last Week Before Break!
Another beautiful Monday outside! That doesn't mean a good snow wouldn't be appreciated before we head into the warmer weather! Chance for Thursday???
Today is the 100th Day of School! That means only 80 more to go and we have completed another school year. As I review incoming data from winter testing and see you in classrooms, you need to know that your daily work is appreciated and is making a difference. Every day I watch as you go above and beyond for our students at Morgan, helping with academics, social issues, behavior, or just listening to their stories from home. You give up your lunch time, your prep time, before and after school time, to work with kids. It all makes a difference in their lives and continues to show why Morgan Elementary is such a great place to work and learn. Thank you for what you do everyday. It does not go unnoticed!
Friday is Valentine's Day, which will send our kiddos into a bit of a sugar frenzy. As you create some great classroom memories this week with post office, celebrations, 100 day projects, reading days and more, know you are rewarded next week with 4 days of vacation! I do not have information on the PD for the 5th day, but will share with you as soon as it is shared with me.
Don't forget to check the furniture order form that I sent out last week. Let me know your classroom needs and/or wants for furniture so I can see what we have in the budget.
PTO meeting tonight. Speaking with Tony, our PTO president, he believes the $200 per teacher stipend was already approved through vote and you can spend. You would need to submit your receipt to the PTO for payment. As the PTO is provided the funds, a PO is not mandatory, but can be used to save the tax costs.
Thank you for keeping me posted on the custodial issues in the building. I have an upcoming meeting with Jerome Hoppe (UCS), and two of the ABM managers to address Morgan concerns. My list is growing daily.
Have a great week!
Sue
