The Open Letter Project
Dear Brahmas,
It's here! This week, we conclude Black History Month with a very special activity brought to us by our students and Theory of Knowledge/Math teacher Ms. Dena Lordi. On Friday, March 4, IB, drama, instrumental and vocal music, visual art, and BSU students will be presenting a live reading of Martin Luther King’s Letter from Birmingham Jail. The reading will take place during 3rd and 4th period, and activities will continue during lunch time.
This letter is not only an historical document, presenting the perspectives and experiences of Black Americans during the 1960s; the letter also provides a road map to a more peaceful society that holds itself accountable to justice and the promise that "All Men Are Created Equal."
