West Lafayette Choirs Update
Your Voice Matters--January 28, 2016
Solo & Ensemble (Jan. 30)
Students should plan to dress semi-formally and should flexible with their schedules for the day.
All group I piano S&E entries that earn gold ratings will be entered in State Solo & Ensemble. Vocal solos and ensembles entered in group I must notify Mr. Waltz by January 29 if they wish to entered in state contest if they qualify.

Vwa Bel and Chorale at Westminster January 31
Parents are welcome to stay for the performance; however, space will be limited. Also folks not part of Westminster Village are asked to sit in the back of the performance room to accommodate residents' needs.
Uniforms for both groups this weekend are less formal. Small ensembles are deciding what they are to wear.

If you would like to help to pay for a JH Choir student to go to see Matilda in Chicago, please contact Mr. Waltz and he will provide more information.
2016-17 Choir Auditions
The first round of choir auditions is completed, and lists will be posted some time next week. Students are able to audition for choirs up to the beginning of next semester; however, anyone that missed this round of auditions may find more difficulty placing choir in their schedule. Auditions after this week will need to be set up with Mr. Waltz by appointment.
Junior High and Concert Choirs' OCMC Performance
Upcoming Contest Dates
Junior High Choir hosts a large event on April 9 that will require volunteers.
Concert Choir and Vwa Bel will perform at Lafayette Jefferson on April 16.
Chorale will perform at Ben Davis High School on April 30 with the potential at performing at State Finals on May 7.
All times are TBD; however if you know of any school related conflicts, sharing those with me helps me to notify ISSMA (Indiana State School Music Association) about schedule requests. Please note that non-school-related conflicts are unexcused from choir events.
