News and Information for Kindergarten Families
Kindergarten (K-2) IPAD Deployment / Chromebooks for New Students (3-5)
Friday, Sep. 4th, 12:30-3pm

- We have enough devices for all K-2 students so try to arrive during your designated pick up window (below).
- New Elmonica students may pick up chromebooks grades 3-5, or if you did not check one out last spring. Broken / damaged chromebooks may also be exchanged.
- Please print out and complete the Device Checkout Info Card. If you do not have a printer, please write all of the information on a piece of paper. The student ID is your child's lunch number. Being prepared will greatly speed up check out. The card is not required to receive an IPAD.

We are super excited to invite you to a Meet your Kindergarten Teacher Day!
Save the date! Saturday, September 12.
Next week you will learn your child's classroom teacher assignment and receive an invitation to sign up for a 15 minute in-person visit to meet the teacher at Elmonica!
We are so excited to have a few moments to meet you, however, we have to follow school district and Oregon State Healthy Authority guidance to keep all our wonderful teachers and precious kindergarteners safe and healthy.
Required Safety Guidance
- Please arrive promptly at your scheduled time. Teachers have a tight schedule and will not be able to extend appointments for late arrivals.
- Meetings will be held in the back field. Please walk around to the back.
- Masks for all family members are required.
- Teachers and families will remain 6 or more feet apart.
- Students may lower their mask for a moment to allow their teacher to take a picture.
- We cannot exceed the capacity indicated by the Oregon Governor of more than 50 in the field at one time. Please leave promptly. Socializing with friends and neighbors cannot take place on school grounds.
- The playground is closed during this event.
- Teachers will have prepared packets of school and art supplies. Everything will be bagged more than 48 hours prior to the event for safe distribution. One parent will be asked to touch and take one packet.
- Restrooms are not available during the event.
- Teachers will not have more than 15 minutes will each student & family.
- Students/parents will have individual Zoom appointments on Monday, September 14 or Tuesday, September 15 for questions.

Kindergarten Individual Consultations
Monday, Sep. 14th, 8:30am to Tuesday, Sep. 15th, 4pm
This is an online event.
How to Sign Up for an Individual Consultation
- Parents will be emailed an invitation late on Saturday, September 12, to sign up for an individual Kindergarten consultation appointment.
- Teachers will send a zoom link to students/parents to attend an individual video meeting from the students school IPAD.
Purpose of the Individual Consultation
- Teachers will confirm the student and the parent has good connection and can navigate the applications on the student's IPAD.
- Teachers will support students navigation of the applications on the IPAD and make sure students and parents can log in to SeeSaw.
- Parents and students may get questions answered.
