Message from the Principal
Dear Westridge Community,
I have some bittersweet news to share with you. Starting next school year, I will be serving as the principal of Sunset Primary in the West Linn Wilsonville School District. This is where I began my career in education, and feel compelled to return.
Being a part of the Westridge Community has exceeded my expectations. I was welcomed by amazing families, I learned from brilliant and thoughtful students, and collaborated with an incredible staff. While I am deeply saddened to leave, I am so grateful for the time we have spent together. Your children truly are delightful and wonderful students. I will miss them deeply.
I remain completely committed to Westridge through the school year. I am looking forward to a spring filled with opportunities, events, and, of course, learning.
With gratitude,
Jules Laaperi

If you can help please donate the following: toilet paper, paper towels, facial tissue, liquid laundry soap, dishwasher soap, dish soap, 13 gallon trash bags, antibacterial cleaner. Parent Input Form for next school year:
2022-2023 Verification
Beginning April 29, LOSD needs parents/guardians of all students enrolled for the 2022-23 school year to log into ParentVUE and review/update your students' information through the Register/Verify tab. This benefits both families and schools by:
• Ensuring that schools have accurate information to reach parents and other contacts in both emergency and non-emergency situations. Verification is important even if your address or contact information has not changed over the past year because the school may have incorrect information from a previous year.
• Confirming parent email addresses for Google Classroom and other applications to participate in your student's learning.
• Enabling distribution of key information in the district's K-12 Family Handbook.
If you have forgotten your ParentVUE password, go to the login page, click "I am a Parent," then click "Forgot Password." If you are unsure whether you have a ParentVUE account, contact your student's school. For assistance with the verification process, refer to the user guide on the LOSD website or contact your student's school.
Not attending Westridge next year?
If your student will be attending a school other than Westridge (or Lakeridge Middle School), please email Andrea Murphy at murphya@loswego.k12.or.us as soon as possible.
May SEL Theme: Cooperation
Dear Westridge Families,
This month through our Social Emotional Learning (SEL) lessons, we will be introducing cooperation. As a school community, we will be examining how Cooperation looks, sounds, and feels. Cooperation is about assistance and support, about collaboration and teamwork, and it is a necessary tool in our toolbox for creating a community that cares for one another.
Students will be encouraged to use cooperation skills such as communication, self-awareness, and the ability to step up (or step back) when the time is right to best support whatever group you are working with. Using these skills will help us to work alongside one another and create things, together, that are better than anything we could create on our own.
The definition students will be learning this month for Cooperation is: working together and helping others.
For your reference, here are links for extension activities if you would like to explore Cooperation further as a family:
