Watch DOGS
Watch D.O.G.S. at Parkside Elementary is an innovative volunteer program by the National Center for Fathering, focusing on improving education in our nation's schools by using the positive influence of fathers and father figures.
During the day, Watch DOGS may read with students, play at recess, eat lunch with students, watch the school entrances and hallways, assist with traffic flow and any other assigned activity. They actively engage with not only their own student(s), but with other students throughout the day.
For more information on this program and for step-by-step instructions on how to become a Watch D.O.G.S. volunteer (new and returning dads) go to http://parkside.my-pta.org/ to visit our PTA website. Come have fun with us at school!
