Dear Families-Read on for the News
No School November 4th & 5th
There will be no school Thursday and Friday of this week. Thursday is a teacher work day and Friday is K-5 Student Led Conferences. We will not be providing Art Camps this year due to Covid.
Principal Appreciation a Success!
Many thanks to those who gave cards, emailed tributes and sent donations to honor our Executive Director Jeneille Branen. The Parent Crew was able to buy Jeneille flowers and gift cards with the donations, and Amy put the beautiful notes into a poster. We presented it all to Jeneille on Friday and she was overwhelmed with appreciation! Your kindness meant so much!
Musical Playground Equipment & Bricks - Help Needed!!
New musical playground equipment and bricks have arrived! We are looking for additional skilled volunteers to help install these this Friday, November 5, (given the weather cooperates). If you have the appropriate experience and are able to help, please contact the office at 208-882-3684 or
office@palouseprairieschool.org.
Students Need Water Bottles
With COVID precautions, the drinking fountains are only water bottle fill stations, and we will no longer provide cups. Please make sure your student brings a water bottle daily.
Playground Update
Through mid-October we have raised $21,515 toward our $25,000 goal. Our next phase will include installing slides, a swing set and ball court. We are so grateful to all our donors!! Please help us spread the word to reach our fundraising goal!
Lunch Program Update
School meals are an important part of fueling both healthy minds and bodies. This school year's meals may look a little different, in part due to food supply and labor challenges related to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) public health emergency. At times, our lunch vendor may not receive expected food orders (delivery driver shortages) and have limited product availability (for example, discontinued products or not enough of a specific type of product). As a result, there may be last-minute menu changes. Know that our lunch vendor is thinking ahead to identify alternative food items that are nutritious and appealing for the students. We appreciate your patience, flexibility, and understanding as we work to provide school meals in a challenging and changing environment.
