Staff Weekly Update
"Building a Legagacy of Leaders and Learners" 5-4-18
Renovation Updates and Packing Information
Labels are in the office and time is of the essence. I would like to give you a friendly reminder that we must be all packed up and out by June 14 at 4:00 pm. There are additional copies of the packing instructions and guidelines in the office. Please see Kathryn for any packing information and materials needed. Take a little time each week to pack up. I acknowledge the fact that we have a lot on our plates along with packing; however, the message is that there is a hard deadline and no room for extension. The building will be open the following weekends:
May 12th (9-noon)
May 19th and 20th (9-noon)
June 2nd and 3rd (9 a.m. - 4 p.m.)
June 9th and 10th (9 a.m. - 4 p.m.)
Many have asked when will we be around to tag things that are an absolute must. I am going to ask that you place a yellow sticky note with a ? mark on it for things you have questions about. Stacy Brickman are planning to walk the building hopefully within the next week to note everything that is being done in each room. From that, I will be able to share out with you.
Please keep in mind every single room is getting new paint, flooring, new HVAC and all small bathrooms in classrooms are getting epoxy flooring. We have not narrowed down which rooms will be getting new countertops and cabinets with that being said, all cabinets need to be cleared out as well.

Social Media Alert - It's Time to Monitor your Child's Social Media History.
We are receiving countless concerns with regards to inappropriate messages and conversations on Snap-Chat. There are many group chats going on after school that is spilling over into the school day. I would like for each parent to take the time to speak with your child about conversations or groups they may be apart of on Snap-Chat. I will begin making personal phone calls to parents if their child is involved in these inappropriate groups and conversations. There is also one other group chat called "V.K.I. 0" that many students are on as well. These tools, which were meant for good, are being used for bad. The discussions are a disruption to the school day and learning, which will lead to disciplinary actions. If you have concerns or would like to discuss this matter with me, please email or call.

Mommy-Son Dance
As Mother's Day is right around the corner and we have seen a lot of Daddy-Daughter Dances, we would like to provide an opportunity for our mothers and their sons to come have an evening together. A time to dress-up, enjoy a delicious meal, good music and fun. This is the first event of this nature here at Sheiko and is open to all families. A Daddy-Daughter dance is in the works for next school year. We want all to enjoy a spectacular evening.
