GCJHS - August 20, 2021

A Note from the Principal

We are now beginning to settle into the school year. Both students and teachers are falling into the routine of the daily schedule. Fall sports and extracurricular activities are underway. The rhythm of the school year is becoming our normal routine.

This is the time when parents need to know what’s going on in classes. What are the homework expectations? How does the teacher grade students? What are the classroom routines and procedures? How can parents best help students? These are all questions that we have attempted to answer during our Meet Your Teacher events traditionally during the third or fourth weeks of school.

Meet Your Teacher will be held virtually this year. Teachers are developing online video presentations of material that is normally provided during Meet Your Teacher. The links to these presentations will be published in this publication on September 3 to be viewed at your convenience. I encourage you to view each of your child’s teachers’ presentations. Teachers will be happy to answer any questions you may have via email.

As always, please feel free to let us know how we may be of assistance to you.

Best wishes,

Jim Bever
