Survivor Island Week
Welcome back from spring break! Our Survivor Island-themed week of writing lessons is off to a great start! Thank you to everyone who sent in donations for the trail mix snack; the kids loved it! Here is some important info you should know about our week:
- T-shirts: All of 4th grade will be wearing their tie-dye shirts every day this week to represent their tribes! Students can leave their shirts at school and put it on over a different shirt each day, or they can take it home if they need to wash it.
- Snacks: Students may bring a snack from home if they don't want trail mix. If they are having the trail mix, they should not bring another snack.
- Beach towels: Students may bring a beach towel for the week to sit on around our "campfire".
Notes of Encouragement for STAAR
Your child will be coming home Wednesday with an envelope with his / her name on it. In the envelope you will find a note card. Please take a moment to write a brief note of encouragement on the note for them, return it to the envelope & seal it, then give it to your child to bring back to school ASAP (no later than Monday so that we can prepare for Tuesday's test day). We will collect the note cards from you this week and give them to your child before the test next Tuesday. As teachers, we are not able to encourage our students when we want to the most due to test administration protocol, and a kind, encouraging word from you puts their little hearts and minds at ease. PLEASE RETURN THE NOTE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE - THANK YOU!!!
BYOT This Week
Students will use their BYOT devices for Kahoot this week on Tuesday for Mrs. Weltzin's homeroom and on Thursday for Mrs. Eddy's homeroom!
Spring Reading Challenge Due This Wednesday
Spring reading challenge papers (light purple) are due this Wednesday, March 23. Students who completed this optional challenge will earn Chick-Fil-A certificates for turning it in by the deadline!
