Cyclone Central Remote Edition
April 17, 2020
A Message From Mrs. Rateno
TEAM Center,
Thank you to all of our Cyclone community members for partnering together again this week to support our students with remote learning! Our students continue to impress us with their resilience, flexibility, and grit, and we know that much of that is because of the support and care being provided for them by our parents and staff during these unprecedented times.
As we close out our Essential Worker Appreciation Week, I want to once again say thank you to those in our community who are working in essential fields. We appreciate all that you are doing to live out the Center motto of caring for others. Thank you to all of our students and families who created signs, cards, or messages this week to help show our appreciation for these individuals and what they do for us each day.
Next week, our Specials team has prepared some daily challenges related to art, music, physical education, and STEAM. You can read through the flier below for a sneak peek of our Spectacular Specials Week, or view our daily announcements to hear about the fun activities planned for each day. Announcements are emailed out each day, and they are also available on our website for quick reference.
I hope your family is staying well, and I wish everyone a wonderful weekend ahead. As always, please reach out if there is anything we can do to support your family during this time. We miss you all, and hope to be together again in person soon!
Sincerely,
Kate Rateno

Cleveland Food Bank
In need of food? Contact Our Help Center at 216.738.2067
In 2012, the Greater Cleveland Food Bank launched a new benefits outreach initiative unique among food banks across the nation.
Our Help Center - dedicated to connecting food insecure individuals with the assistance they need – allows callers and walk-in clients the opportunity to complete an application for several government assistance programs. Clients can apply for SNAP (formerly food stamps) and more than 20 other programs with one of our benefits counselors. Calls are free and confidential.
In the Food Bank service area, one in six people are food insecure. For children, those numbers are more dismal. More than one in five children in our service area is at risk of hunger.
We understand that people need a helping hand during hard times. Many turn to the Greater Cleveland Food Bank for help! We serve clients from Cuyahoga, Lake, Geauga, Ashtabula, Richland and Ashland Counties and we can connect those in need to partner agencies, hot meals and mobile pantries that are nearby. In addition, we can help you submit a SNAP application by phone!
Call us today at 216.738.2067 or toll-free at 855.738.2067.
