Purchase your Yearbook NOW!
If you would like to purchase a yearbook (we only get a few extra and they sell very quickly), visit the Balfour Website.
This year's yearbook is sure to be a real keepsake due to the unusual year that we have had. Each year we have many disappointed parents that can't get a yearbook for their child because they never ordered one. Please don't make that mistake and order your yearbook now!

Changing Learning Locations?
Learning Location Changes are due: January 27 to then start on 2/1
In an effort to minimize disruptions to student's schedules and possible loss of grades through trailing coursework as classes are changed, this is the next spring date for learning location submission and the date the students can then start for the learning location change.
Visit the WLMS Learning Location website for more information.

Course Planning for Incoming 6th Graders
Dear Future West Lake Wolves,
It is that exciting time of the year to plan for the transition to middle school! This week the fifth graders will have the opportunity to watch some videos about the course selection process for middle school. The first is a course presentation from me, your child's counselor, explaining our Core Classes and electives available to all incoming 6th graders here at WLMS. Included in the presentation is an explanation of how to complete the course planning sheet. All students will then view a video from our fabulous campus Fine Arts department. In addition, your child will also view the district's CTE and AVID videos. Your child will receive a Course Planning sheet to be completed and returned to your child's home campus by Friday, 1/29/2021.
Due to COVID-19, we are unable to hold our traditional parent night to answer questions and explain our course selection process. However, I am hosting three Zoom Q&A sessions for parents who may still have questions after viewing the videos. Zoom links for these sessions are included below.
Zoom Q&A Sessions: Tuesday, January 26th
9:30 - 10:00 a.m. Zoom Link
1:30 - 2:00 p.m. Zoom Link

All information and all four videos are also posted within my Course Planning SMORE Newsletter and on my 5th to 6th Transition website! Please let me know if you have any questions. Welcome to the Wolf Pack!
