"Quote of the Week"
All In!
At this time of year, many of us get frustrated and concerned as we work with our students on a daily basis. One thing that is extremely important is how we communicate with each other. Many voices are heard offering encouragement and advice on how to work with our students. Do not forget that as an Administrative team we would like to hear from you as well. I understand that while you have colleagues and confidants all over the city is it always important to remember that our family business should start first and foremost with the family. As the leader of this school I constantly think of how we can motivate and encourage our students to be the best version of themselves. They fall down as we do but we must be able to pick them up and continue to guide them. All In speaks about our commitment to the work, and often times we focus solely on the "Instruction" piece. The "Engagement" piece speaks about our relationships with our students and some of those relationships have been strained. I challenge you this week to fix or create a new relationship with a student . Our students may not know how to start this process so let's teach them the way.
Payday Breakfast
A Big Thanks goes out to the Math and Fine Arts Department! They showed us all how Payday Breakfast should be done. "If you school does not smell like bacon, you work at the wrong school!"
Hold up the Name!
We must protect this brand!
Student Engagement
Special thank goes out to Ms. Smith's students for their hard work! This project was student led, student created, and student executed! Challenge the students and they will rise to the occasion.
Attendance Adds Up!
The district has begun a new program designed to improve our students daily attendance. I am in need of ideas for incentives and expectations for students to receive these incentives. We will begin this program during the 5th and 6th six weeks.
