COMPASS & OPTIONS SCHOOL NEWS
ASSESSMENT NEWS ~ As mentioned at our Parent Town Halls last week, Save the Date for our State Testing Window: April 1 - 12, 2019!
How do I know if I should sign my scholar(s) up for testing?
All scholars in grades 3-8 & 11 will test in English and math.
Scholars in grades 5, 8, and 11 & 12 will test in science.
Note: Scholars may complete tests in one day, two days, or three days.
The Every Student Succeeds Act requires that all schools and student groups meet the 95 percent participation requirement, and that the participation rate be factored into the Academic Indicator on the California Dashboard. Failure to meet the participation rate reduces a school’s Academic Indicator. Participation rates are reported to our authorizing districts and are important for our continued charter renewals. Registration details coming soon!

If you were unable to join, the recording has been shared in ParentSquare and uploaded to the Parents & Scholars section of our website. Feel free to reach out directly to Mr. J.J. EXCEPTIONAL SCHOLAR SERVICES
Find Your Path: A Roadmap for Choosing a College, a Career, or Something Different,
The transition from high school to college can be overwhelming for scholars. Newfound independence — combined with little or no parental control — leaves many scholars with ADHD feeling anxious and ultimately underperforming at college. Learning coaches are invited to join a webinar tomorrow, Tuesday, February 12, to help their high school scholar transition to college.
