Homework Club
The Homework Club nourishes students' mind, body, and heart to promote academic success. This after school program provides a safe place for students who are at risk for academic failure to receive the support needed to complete unfinished class work, homework, and work on organizational skills. The goal of the program is to create independent life long learners.
Book Club Collection
The Book Club Collection is a continuation of the development of a special collection of novel sets containing multiple copies (8-10) of the same title for use in students and/or teacher led small groups holding after school book clubs. Book clubs at school provide students from diverse backgrounds, ethnicity, and socioeconomic status with opportunities to read for pleasure and personal growth in a nurturing environment, making connecting with each other through conversations about literature while developing literacy skills. The Book Club Collection is available for use by all schools, district wide, through inter-library loan.
Think PAWSitive!
PAWSitive is our way to describe students who demonstrate excellence in exhibiting our campus core values! Our PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) program focuses on reinforcing positive behavior and showing appreciation to students who are making great choices. Campus-wide incentives include the PAWSitive school store where students redeem "bucks" for prizes, students of the month activities, and weekly prize drawings during lunch.
Kristin Ernst - November Staff Member of the Month
- Kristin is always going the extra mile for her students. She is a great role model and a great team lead.
- Kristin is working tirelessly to design and implement a new reading curriculum, and lead the 7th grade team. Despite her many responsibilities she always has a cheerful outlook which she spreads to her students and to other teachers!
- Kristin is a great team leader. She is thorough and efficient. She also has done a wonderful job coordinating writers workshop. The kids love and I know they learn so much about themselves as writers. Besides that, Kristin is a great co-worker. She is always available to talk and has a positive attitude.
