Here's the Scoop
Neighborhood: We are learning about our community and the special places we have in our neighborhood. There are many important community helpers and we are seeing what they do to help us stay safe, healthy, and educated.
Essential Questions: What are some special places in your neighborhood? Where do people work? What job do you want when you grow up?
High-frequency words: are, for, you, is, play, have
Letters: Hh, Dd, Rr
Word Families: -at, -an, -as, -am, -at, -aw
Snap Words/Fluency Folders
For those who have mastered all twenty lists orally, we will begin to practic writing the words on Wednesday's with our parent helpers.
Thanks for the support!
Numbers and Operations
We have been subitizing numbers to ten.
We have been working on word problems which secretly reinforce addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Impressive!
Room 18 and Science Lab
Soon we will make salt-dough landforms with Mr. Girod in the Science Lab. Look for a homework assignment in the green Monday folder. You will make the dough at home and bring it to school in a zip-lock bag. Details to follow...
Thanks for your patience on this project.
