Neighborhood: We are learning about our community and the special places we have in our neighborhood. There are many important community helpers and we are seeing what they do to help us stay safe, healthy, and educated.
Essential Questions: What are some special places in your neighborhood? Where do people work? What job do you want when you grow up?
High-frequency words: are, for, you, is, play, have

Word Families: -at, -an, -as, -am, -at, -aw
Snap Words/Fluency Folders
For those who have mastered all twenty lists orally, we will begin to practic writing the words on Wednesday's with our parent helpers.

Math
Numbers and Operations
We have been subitizing numbers to ten.
We have been working on word problems which secretly reinforce addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Impressive!
Science
Room 18 and Science Lab
Soon we will make salt-dough landforms with Mr. Girod in the Science Lab. Look for a homework assignment in the green Monday folder. You will make the dough at home and bring it to school in a zip-lock bag. Details to follow...
