Take Back Meds
1. Get rid of unused or unwanted prescription medications. The Capital Area Take Back Meds Program includes many local pharmacies and law enforcement agencies. Find a pharmacy or law enforcement drop-off location near you on this site.
2. If you take prescription medications, keep them in a lock box so your teen or their friends won't have access.
3. If your teen has to have a surgery or has an injury, talk to your doctor about suitable alternatives to opioids for pain relief.
