The Emerald
Emerald Campus Weekly News
A note for students and parents-
Greetings!
Thank you to everyone that participated in the Parent-Teacher Conferences this week. If you were unable to attend, please feel free to use our Staff Directory to email the teacher you would like a meeting with.
Our October monthly focus is on thinking and inquiring! We continue to explore new ways to look at questions and include students in questioning and deeper thinking.
On October 13th, all Dublin City Schools students in grade 11 as well as any 9th- and 10th-grade students that signed up will be taking the PSAT at their home high schools. Any remaining 9th- and 10th-grade students as well as all 12th-grade students will be on an asynchronous learning day.
*Students participating in PATHS will maintain their regular schedule.
**College Credit Plus classes held at Emerald Campus will also not be in session. Students are expected to check the Blackboard for assigned asynchronous work.
To learn more about the PSAT check out this link.
Thanks!
Julie, Mark, and Lori

PATHS Products is open for business!
Our students learn employability skills and life skills through our work with the PATHS Products business. The profits assist students who may find community learning opportunities to be a financial hardship and other items in our program.
Important Emerald Campus Information
International Baccalaureate
IB assessment invoices are going out. Payment should go through Pay schools. The assessment fee for each course is $119 and is assessed during the year of assessment. The exact fee due will show in the applicable student's PaySchools https://www.payschoolscentral.com/ account as 1 Test, 2 Tests, etc.
If a student qualifies for a free and reduced lunch, the cost will be waived and not show up in PaySchools. If you have not applied for free and reduced lunch, it is a yearly required application. Families can apply through PaySchools https://www.payschoolscentral.com/ or complete and turn in a paper application found here https://www.dublinschools.net/Page/1454.
If there are other financial concerns you would like considered, please contact Ann Tiefenthaler [Tiefenthaler_Ann@dublinschools.net].
See this attachment for a draft assessment calendar including both internal and external assessment dates.
For more information, please reach out to us, visit our website, read our IB overview, or review our IB Parent/Student Handbook.
