Lear, Lead, Inspire

First Leader in Me School in the State of Wisconsin!

Loving Community

As you know, one of our second grade students was tragically killed in an accident this past weekend. We have pulled together as a school community to support each other, love each other, and lift the family up in our hearts. Thank you to all who have reached out and supported our students and staff during this most difficult time. We are keeping the family in our thoughts, and remembering a dear classmate through our actions of treating each other kindly and supporting the family.

Continue being kind to each other.

School News

Fall is upon us! As the weather changes, please be sure to help your child pick appropriate clothing for the weather! Just maybe we are past the 82 degree days?!

October 4th is ROAD RALLY! This is the biggest FUNdraiser for our school! Students can combine raising funds and wellness! We will walk the track during our related arts classes- so continue to collect pledges! Thanks in advance for supporting Lincoln!

Connections Matter!! Thank a teacher today!

After School

Please note- the main office doors are locked and no one is manning the desk after 3:45 PM. After care and Good News Club (which starts October 8th) will have pick up through the bus doors (Old Main Entrance off of Prince Street).

It’s so exciting to have many children in 4th and 5th grade orchestra! Beginning orchestra students are picked up at the Lincoln School drop off drive after orchestra rehearsal on Mondays, Intermediate Orchestra on Tuesday, and their group lessons, which are either Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. The children from Washington and Lakeview get picked up at the old parking lot doors. This makes things less congested. Thank you!

Tidbits of Information

Thanks to our awesome volunteer, Kathy Ross, the oldest child or only child will receive the Wednesday Communicator (white envelope, comes on Wednesday), for the family. Please be sure to return the envelope EVERY week after you have looked through it and emptied it. That way we can re-stuff the following week.

Thanks for helping us be mindful of our environment and decrease the amount of paper being sent, and returning your envelope each week!

Book Fair week is October 9th through October 11th and the spaghetti dinner and parent Leader In Me informational session will take place on October 10th. Spaghetti dinner is 5:00 PM-6:30 PM, with parent sessions (pick one) at 5:45-6:15 PM or 6:45 PM-7:15 PM. Special thanks to Diane Dalzin and all who are donating or volunteering and to Justin Stewart who will lead the parent informational sessions.

Special thanks to Cory Peppler, who has been covering the library classes. We will be welcoming back Mrs. Sandy Musiak as our Library Paraprofessional in the coming weeks.

Sometimes we find students who are in need of a change of clothing for various reasons. We are short on PANTS! If you have any pants that your children may have outgrown and are willing to donate (sizes 5- 14)- we would welcome these with open arms!

Please see the links at the end as they are some great resources and information for parents/families.
