Donating stem cells for the treatment of a stranger
Less than a week after finishing his first year as a medical student, Kevin Card of the MD Class of 2022 was pictured lying down, wearing a smile. But the scene was a clinic bed, not a beach. So, at first, the image was a little jarring. The reality, though, was anything but. Card wasn’t injured. He was there, hooked up to a machine to donate stem cells for the treatment of a patient with myelodysplastic syndrome. Read more HERE.

Dr. Hinshaw's POWERFUL summer
The UH Mānoa Chancellor Emeritus and JABSOM Professor, along with her team, The Jazzy Javeliers, are competing in the National Senior Games in Albuquerque, NM. So far, Dr. Hinshaw made the finals in her age group and has won a 5th place ribbon. The team was interviewed by the Honolulu Star-Advertiser.
JABSOM Clinical Professor wins first AHA award of its kind

JABSOM wants to expand to combat physician shortage
