Stone Bank School
Reaching Out ~ April 10, 2020
#Separatedtogether
Dear Stone Bank Families and Students:
Thank you for the collaboration and feedback as we completed another week of at-home learning with Stone Bank students. Our staff met in virtual teams yesterday to connect and continue learning together about how we can remain supportive and connected with our learners and in continued partnership with families during this time. As we move forward, we invite parents to stay connected with our Stone Bank team in our upcoming virtual “Superintendent Chat” sessions.

Additionally, next week is Severe Weather Awareness Week. Due to our current “Safer at Home” order, the state will participate in a Virtual Tornado Drill on Thursday, April 16th. We encourage all families to review their home safety plans to “Evacuate” in the event of a fire and “Shelter” in place in the event of severe weather. Families can also test home smoke detectors, flashlights and radios for working batteries. After reviewing these safety plans, we encourage families to participate in their own home tornado drill.
We wish you all a restful and healthy weekend.
Dr. Krohn and Mrs. Darin
Next week’s Calendar:
Monday, April 13th - NO SCHOOL
Tuesday, April 14th - Friday, April 17th - Learning Resumes
Needing something that’s still in the building?
When Stone Bank students left school in mid-March, some students left behind materials that are needed for current success in the learning process at home. Because we are still uncertain as to when we will resume school back in our building, if your child is currently needing materials for their success, please use this form to let us know what we can gather for a curbside pick-up. We will begin gathering materials next Tuesday, April 14th and will be reaching out with more information about pick-up times for later next week. For questions, please contact Karrie Beth at k.beth@stonebank.k12.wi.us.
Lunch Program
Stone Bank is offering the option of a daily school lunch for the remainder of the at-home learning time frame. Lunches can be picked up at the front entrance of Stone Bank School between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. daily. These meals are free and open to all Stone Bank School and community children 18 years old or younger, regardless of income.
If you are interested in picking up a lunch for your child(ren), please complete the following Google form by 10:00 AM, Saturday, April 11th, for lunch choices for the week of Tuesday (4/14) - Friday (4/17).

Stone Bank Yearbook Photos Wanted
Submit Your “Learning at Home” Photos for the Yearbook!
We, at Empire Photo, are inspired and grateful for all of the amazing teachers and parents that have worked to help make digital learning possible for students across Wisconsin while schools are closed. We would like to invite you to submit some photos of your children “learning at home” so that we could possibly include them in this year’s yearbook. This will be a memorable school year for all students and we think that it would be cool for them to have something to look back on years from now that shows our community coming together and making the best of a difficult situation. *
