Upcoming Community Sessions with Dr. Yolanda Sealey-Ruiz
We are excited to share that the Ann Arbor Public Schools is hosting a community information meeting on equity with Dr. Sealey Ruiz on Tuesday, May 3rd, from 6 to 7:00 PM.
Equity is Everything: History, Humanity and Healing in the Ann Arbor Public Schools. The meetings are designed to share with the parent and wider community more about the equity work that has been in progress in the AAPS, including highlighting key principles and shared language in the work among AAPS staff during the prior two school years. These community information sessions will serve as a springboard for convening a community Equity Advisory Group and continuing next steps in the community work during Fall, 2022.
You can join the zoom webinar on Tuesday, May 3rd at 6 PM here.

SENIOR BON VOYAGE PARTY 2022
The end of the school year is fast approaching, we are in dire need of YOU to help us host the Senior Bon Voyage All Night Party.
Because of the lapse in years without a party, many underclassman parents don’t know what the party is or how to organize it. We are concerned that in the coming years the party may be in jeopardy as there will be very few people who know how to continue the party as it is today. Past seniors have repeatedly walked away from this party saying it was one of the most fun nights of their lives, please help us keep this tradition alive by volunteering this year to help and see what it’s all about.
Attached is a PDF with some information on the party and below is the sign-up genius link for volunteer jobs and an Amazon wish list to purchase donations.
(In my opinion, two of the most fun jobs are still available, decorations and casino worker)

Senior Class Updates - Class of 2022
ATTENTION SENIORS!
Graduation Update
During the two years of the pandemic, alternative graduation ceremonies were held for the Class of 2020 and Class of 2021. In 2020, drive-thru parades were held at each campus. In 2021, outdoor ceremonies were held. For the Class of 2022, we are returning to our traditional indoor graduation locations.
While the previous two years have offered great alternatives for the commencement ceremonies, the activities and locations had limitations and challenges. Most importantly, we want to hold ceremonies that afford all of our graduates the opportunity to share the celebration with family. Our indoor facilities allow students to invite siblings, grandparents, and other extended family members. As well, the indoor facilities are fully ADA compliant, and indoor ceremonies eliminate concerns for inclement weather.
We are very proud of the tremendous work that our high school teams put into the celebrations in 2020 and 2021, we are equally excited to once again offer our graduates a dignified and celebratory experience while welcoming all family members who wish to attend.
