ACP MIDDLE SCHOOL - April 4th, 2022
Message from the Principal
Dear Knights,
We hope the Dodgeball tournament was a great stress reliever for you today! I wish each of you best of luck on your AASA's next week. You will take the AASA Writing on Monday, 04/04/2022, Section 1 of Math & Reading on Tuesday, 04/05/2022 and Section 2 of Math & Reading on Wednesday, 04/06/2022. It is imperative that you are in attendance and on time on these days. We are hoping to have 100% of our students participating in the AASA. Please do your best without getting overwhelmed by it. Attached below is a bell schedule for these days. Remember, on these (Monday, 04/04 - 04/06) days, your lunch will be based on your 2nd period teacher (6th graders will observe A Lunch immediately after 1st period).
Parents - We are looking for anyone interested in holding office with Booster Club for the 2022-2023 school year. If you are interested, please email me at your earliest convenience. In particular, we will need someone to take over the President role.
ACTION ITEMS FOR YOU:
- There will be no Power Hour or after school/before school office hours during the week of AASA testing (04/04/2022-04/06/2022)
- Please plan on leaving school grounds promptly after school ends unless you are staying for tutoring or for clubs/athletics
- If you are staying to work in the library, it is expected that you are working - it is not for social gathering
Permanent Reminder(s):
- When informing us of a student's absence, please always CALL the attendance line (480-883-5403) as your first step. An additional step can be to send an email to the teachers. Emails to school staff regarding attendance isn't always the best way due to staff absences, communication to the correct personnel, etc.. The attendance line is the only way to ensure all appropriate individuals have the necessary information to reconcile student attendance.
- If a student tests for COVID, please send a copy of the +/- results to our health assistant - Rachelle Lemus as soon as possible. Students with a pending COVID test must remain at home until results have been received. In addition, she accepts student vaccination records to place on file. Her email is: lemus.rachelle@cusd80.com
P.S. It is a Assistant Principal's Week next week. Make sure to thank Mr. DePrez Jr. for all that he does for ACP. One of our knights, Saanvi Maddali, had an idea to have a Culture Day on campus. Ms. Kleinberger and she worked together and we will have a Spirit Day on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 to celebrate our unique and diverse cultures at ACP.
Thank you,
Manjula K Reddy

PLEASE CONSIDER MAKING A TAX CREDIT DONATION TO ACP MIDDLE SCHOOL
Once you have paid all outstanding fees for ACP Middle School, please consider making an additional tax credit contribution to ACP's general fund before December 31st. If you are able to make your tax contributions prior to the end of the calendar year, your donation would be greatly appreciated. It will help give us a jump start on some of our essential extracurricular activities. We have set a goal to collect approximately $50,000.00 this school year and hope that you will be willing to help us meet our goal. Thank you for supporting your child and ACP Middle School!
Tax Credit Basics…
A tax credit donation is a full refund, not a deduction. Contributions eligible for a tax credit are donated directly to schools, not to the state or school district. To participate or learn more, follow the link listed below to donate online or you can complete the enclosed form and submit your contribution at your convenience.
http://www.cusd80.com/taxcredit
Arizona Law ARS 43-1089.01 enables taxpayers a tax credit contribution of up to $400.00 per year if filing status is “Married, filing Joint Return;” $200.00 per calendar year if filing status is “Single of Head of Household;” and $200 per calendar year if filing status is “Married filing separate returns.” These contributions fund extracurricular activities in public schools and greatly impact our school community and our students.
