Hello Jackson Families!
2022 STAAR testing is officially completed at Jackson. Testing went smoothly this year without any technology glitches, and we know our Jackson Jaguars "rocked" their tests!
We need your help with planning for next year! Please take a moment to complete the Parent/Family Interest Survey below. Results will be discussed at our next SBIC (Site Based Improvement Committee) meeting.
Our PTA is ready to plan for next year too! If you are interested in volunteering with PTA via a board position, chair position, or just volunteering as the needs arise, please complete the Google form in the PTA section below, and they will get in contact with you soon! Volunteering makes the magic happen!
It's hard to believe that next week is our last week of school for the 2021-22 school year! It will be a busy week with 5th grade graduation and end-of-year parties. Friday, May 27, is an early release day and school will be dismissed at 12:00 noon. Many wonderful memories were made this year and, while we are sad that this school year is coming to a close, we are already looking forward to a great 2022-2023!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Free Meals Waiver Set to Expire
The United States Department of Agriculture waiver that allowed Plano ISD to provide free meals to all students during the 2021-22 school year is set to expire at the end of this school year.
Plano ISD will resume charging for meals during the 2022-23 school year based on student eligibility for meal benefits. Families who may qualify are encouraged to complete a federal meal application for free and reduced-price meals. The 2021-22 meal application will be honored for the first 30 days of the 2022-23 school year. The 2022-23 meal application will be available after July 1, 2022. Visit Plano ISD’s Food and Nutritional Services page for more information.
Families Are Asked to Complete an Intent to Return Form
In order to help campus staff appropriately and schedule classes for the upcoming 2022-2023 school year, families are asked to complete an Intent to Return form online. Please complete the form as soon as possible since planning for the upcoming school year is already underway. If your family does not plan to return, families are asked to notify us as well since that information also helps with planning.
Thank you for your assistance in helping schools with planning for the upcoming school year.

WE NEED YOU!
Jackson Elementary relies on its PTA for so much in an effort to make the school experience something special and truly enjoyable for all of the students and staff. We can do some great things for the school together, but we need volunteers to really make the magic happen. We want to start planning for next year early and really get some fun activities on the schedule for all.
Our students and teachers have been through the ringer these last two to three years, and we want to do everything we can, AS THEIR PTA, to help them bounce back and experience school in a positive light, as a place of fun, learning, refuge, and resource!
Attached you will find several descriptions of our PTA board and chair positions. If you are interested in volunteering with us via a board position, chair position, or just volunteering as the needs arise, please complete the google form found at the link below, and we will be in contact with you soon to begin our planning for next year!
