Description
Gonorrhea is a sexually transmitted disease also called an STD. You can get this by having sex with someone who has the disease. You can get it by every type of sex including oral, anal, and vaginal intercourse.
Symptoms
Pain areas: lower abdomen, pelvis, testicle, or vagina.
Pain circumstances: can occur during sex or urination.
Groin: abnormal vaginal discharge, penis discharge or increased vaginal discharge.
Also common: fever, urge to urinate, irregular menstrual cycles, pus, and sore throat.
Risks Involved
Infertility caused by PID (pelvic inflammatory disease)
ecoptic (tubal) pregnancy
miscarriage
chronic pelvic pain
inflammation of the bladder
Treatment Options
Two drugs can treat gonorrhea: A single dose of 250mg of intramuscular ceftriaxone and 1g of oral ithromycin.
