Sandy Hook Promise--Start With Hello
On Wednesday, February 26, 2020, East Hampton High School hosted Sandy Hook Promise. The Sandy Hook Promise is a national nonprofit organization based in Newtown, CT. Their mission is to help build positive communities in order to prevent violence in schools.
The 40 minute presentation was seen by all students and focuses on building a positive school climate and culture in order to prevent violence in schools. Sandy Hook Promise also provides resources to students and families in order to foster their organizations mission. We look forward to continuing to work with Sand Hook Promise in the future.
EHHS Faculty Supports Tango 2
This past week the EHHS faculty collected $240 in support of Tango 2 Research.
School Counseling News
The School Counseling Department is excited to announce that all Connecticut Community College will be tuition FREE starting in the fall of 2020! We invite Junior and Senior parents/guardians and students to join us on Wednesday, March 4th to learn more about this exciting opportunity! Representatives from Middlesex Community College will be at EHHS from 6-8 pm to discuss and answer any questions about the PACT program.
The representative will also be providing a financial aid workshop for the parent/guardian of seniors who may benefit from support in completing FAFSA. Don’t miss this great opportunity! Please RSVP if you plan to attend so that we can make sure we have enough space to accommodate the workshop.

Athletic Department News
Dylan Levesque advanced to the semi-finals of the CIAC State Open Wrestling Championships before he was defeated and ended the Open Championship finishing 3rd in his weight class of 120 lbs.
The Varsity Ice Hockey Co-op lost to Guilford, Branford and Sheehan this week to finish the regular season with a record of 8-12. They have qualified for the CIAC Division 2 State Championships which begin on March 9th. They will play next in their conference tournament this week.
Liv DiStefano competed in the 1600 meters at the New England Championships on Friday in Boston and finished 7th.
Jake Ireland competed in the 1000 meters at the New England Championships on Friday in Boston and finished 6th earning All-New England Honors.
The Varsity Cheerleading team competed in the NECA cheering competition on Saturday in East Haven and won their division. Their next competition in the CIAC State Championships this Saturday in New Haven.
The Boys Varsity Basketball team defeated North Branford and HK in their final regular season games, they were defeated by Cromwell in the Quarter-Finals of the Shoreline Conference tournament on Saturday. Their current season record is 14-7. Their next game is at home on Tuesday March 10th in the CIAC Division 4 State Tournament.
The Boys Junior Varsity Basketball team defeated North Branford and lost to HK. Their final season record is 9-11.
The Girls Varsity Basketball team defeated Lyme-Old Lyme in the Shoreline Conference Semi-Finals on Tuesday and defeated The Morgan School in the Shoreline Conference Championship game on Friday. Their current season record is 22-1. Their next game is at home on Friday March 6th in the CIAC Class S State Tournament.
