Owl Notes
APRIL 16
FOOD FOR THOUGHT TAKEN FROM TINA BOOGREN
INFORMATION ... Updates from the district
* Weekly Owl Notes - As of now, since there is little changing (as of today), I'm going to go back to Owl Notes once a week but move it to Thursday. If there is earth shattering news that needs to be put out, I'll touch base with team leaders or send out an email to the staff.
*School Updates - As of now, we are planning on following the regulations from the Governor about May 4 potential opening. With that said, the Governor has a press conference tomorrow. We have no idea what he will say. :)
*Technology training video making - Now that Lisa has reviewed with everyone how to make videos in Canvas, I am strongly encouraging you to move from uploading them to YouTube to using Canvas. This is the districts preferred method. Lisa will continue to support that process but just a reminder that if you put it in Canvas, you can share the link just like YouTube and there is no log in needed.
*T-TESS - As we move forward, Kara and I will be finishing T-TESS for those of you who had a formal observation. We will schedule Zoom one on one conferences with those of you. If you have not had a formal observation but should have, we will reach out to you and explain what will happen but it's not worries.
*SLO - SLO has been waived for the year. We will move forward with that next year.
*Safe Schools - Safe schools are up and going. Paraprofessionals need to finish them by May 4. Professional staff can be working on them as you have time. The requirement for professional staff is for you to finish them July 31 for the August comp day. However, keep in mind that this could be adjusted.
*Staff Development logging - Sorry for any confusion, paraprofessionals are the only ones logging their hours per week at this time. If you need the link again, please email me.
*Interviews - I am working with team leaders, Rachel and Kara to start scheduling interviews for our open positions. Since they are on Zoom, we are going to do things a little differently this year. We will do a pre-screening of candidates with team leaders. Team leaders will come to a consensus on which candidates would be an ideal fit for our school no matter the grade. Kara, Rachel and I will then check references and decide on offering jobs. With everyone on a different schedule, I'm afraid it will prove too difficult to get each grade that has an opening in on all interviews.
