WHS Student Services
May/June 2018
Welcome!
What's Happening?
Members of the Student Services team have also been planning activities for the Pre-Prom Assembly to promote positive peer choices and drug/alcohol prevention. Counselors have also been meeting with students to get them set up for Summer School or the EL Summer Academy program. With Graduation around the corner, we have been reviewing credits with seniors and aiding in the post-high school transition process. The year has flown by and we are looking forward to wrapping up an excellent school year & preparing for the next!
Congratulations to the Student Services Department!

Post Secondary Celebration - May 1
WHS celebrated our Senior Wildcats from the Class of 2018 by hosting a post-secondary celebration during the lunch periods on May 1. All seniors were invited as Principal Cook emceed the event as well as shook all seniors hands as they crossed the stage and received certificates. McDonalds sponsored the event by giving each senior a free meal certificate, in addition some seniors received WHS gear, and many colleges sent gifts for students who had sent deposits and committed to their schools. Underclassmen were present during the event as a way to show how Wheeling High School prepares all students to be college, career or life ready.
