Kinder
Kindergarten has been having a fun learning experience. Here is what
Reading/Writing: Analyze, make inferences and draw conclusions about the theme (folktale, fable, and
poetry) providing evidence from the text to support their understanding. They are also retelling
stories they hear. Parents can reinforce these skills by reading with their child
every night.
Math: Students will learn about how to add and subtract through real-life
problems.
Science: Students are having fun learning about the object that sinks or float. Where
they will observe and record properties of objects including relative size and mass
such as bigger or smaller and heavier or lighter, shape, color, and texture.
Social Studies: Students will learn how people work to solve problems and make decisions.
Students will understand important symbols, customs, and responsibilities that represent
American beliefs and principles and contribute to our national identity.
The Kindergarten team would like to thank you for all the support and
encouragement in your child’s education.

Second Grade
I hope all of you had a wonderful Easter. Well, now it is time to
get back to work. Our focus will be on our PPL (Project Based
Learning). The students are working hard to improve their reading
strategy skills to comprehend and analyze the text they are reading.
You will be amazed at just how much your child has grown this
year. You will see changes in your child’s thinking, as he/she
becomes familiar with abstract concepts and symbols. The change
will be dramatic — just compare a tiny seed with a full-grown
sunflower! That’s the kind of growth you’ll see this year.
Continue to encourage your child to read every night for at least
thirty minutes and have them complete their homework, which
helps reinforce the skills they learned at school.
Thank for your continued support.
volver a trabajar.
