We will continue to complete the reading log and thank you for checking for your child’s name and date at the top when you sign it.
Field trip is scheduled for May 15th and your child will need a sack lunch.
Math:
We are finishing up multiplying fractions and will start dividing fractions in the next couple of days. We hope to be ready for our test by the end of next week. Just as a reminder; they do have math homework most every night except Friday. I still have a few that are not turning it in consistently.
The kids worked so hard on the benchmark test. I am very proud of them.
Science:
The students are working on an individual research project in science on a topic that intrests them in the subject. They are also doing a series of writing topics about Earth Day
Social Studies:
We just started our Civil War Unit. The kids will discover the causes and effects of the American Civil War. We will start our final PBL Project on the Civil War and the kids will work in groups of four. We are also reading a novel called Lawn Boy which examines economics in a fun fashion.
May 9th will be the Bentonville 21st Century Showcase at Fullbright Junior High. I will select a few of our students to show off their fantasttc Revolution Projects that evening.
