Holy Thursday Church Pilgrimage

Thursday, April 1

Following a centuries-old tradition of venerating at least seven Altars of Repose after the Holy Thursday liturgy, the young adult ministry at St. Pius Tenth is trying to continue this tradition in 2021. If you are interested in joining other young adults in this pilgrimage and/or would like to help the ministry brainstorm how this might be done within our current restrictions, click here.

Reflecting on the Resurrection

Thursday, April 15

6:30 p.m.

Join the young adults from St. Pius Tenth for some great discussion and reflection on the resurrection of our Lord. The discussion and reflection will be aided by the viewing of the movie, Risen. Risen, a 2016 movie, is about a Roman soldier searching for the resurrected Christ in the 40 days following the crucifixion. If you are interested in joining other young adults for this movie or would like more information, click here.

A Year of Saint Joseph

Lenten Retreat | Praying with St. Joseph | Saint John's Seminary

Marking the 150th anniversary of St. Joseph being declared patron of the universal church, Pope Francis proclaimed a yearlong celebration dedicated to the foster father of Jesus on December 8, 2020. To learn more about this year dedicated to Saint Joseph, check out the Diocese of Rochester's Year of St. Joseph website here. This time we share a recent Lenten retreat video from Saint John's Seminary, the home for many of the Diocese of Rochester's seminarians. Fr. Michael MacInnis, Director of Human Formation, speaks about how we can bring St. Joseph into our prayer and what we can learn from St. Joseph about how to pray.
