Shout-Out For Student Kindness
The PVHS Foreign Language students collected change and were able to purchase a generator for a family in need in Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria. The family now has power because of the efforts of our generous language students. They worked together with the nonprofit organization “Power for Puerto Rico”. Thank you, Señora Topete-Tallerico, for sharing this incredible act of student kindness!

Citrus Leadership Students Support Red Ribbon Week
For Red Ribbon Week, the Leadership Class organized a door decorating contest. This year’s theme was “Keys to a Healthy You”, and each room created a message about how to live a healthy life. A panel of judges including staff and PTA awarded the top prize to Room 14 and Room 8. These awesome students were rewarded with an ice cream party compliments of Shuberts!

Maintenance Shout-Out
I am hoping that you can relay a message to the two gentlemen who removed the counter from my room. They were so awesome! First and foremost, when they first came in to assess the job, it was lunch time and I had students in my room; they were so courteous and professional - I really appreciated that they were great role models for my kids. Also, I could not believe how quickly they addressed my request. I was assuming that it wouldn't happen until next semester and they took care of it the next day! I came into a spotless classroom and no one would have known that it was a work site only hours before. It did not impact the learning environment at all and I appreciate their diligence! They were amazing!
