Parent Teacher Conference confirmation slips were sent home with students this past week. Please complete the bottom portion of the slip and return to school. If you selected conferences via Zoom, your child's teacher will email you the Zoom link prior to your conference. If you are attending conferences in person, masks are required.

Click this link if you are able to donate items for the staff's lunch on Thursday. Thank you to our PTO for coordinating this lunch!

Room Parents

Interested in being a classroom room parent this year? If yes, click this link to complete a Google form. Room parents are responsible for leading the Halloween, Winter, and Valentine's parties. This includes coordinating party snacks with other classroom parents, planning and facilitating games during the parties.

Jessica Lowe, PTO Vice President, will contact all room parents this week to confirm this role.

Book Fair

Our bookfair begins Monday, October 18th! Students can purchase books at school Mon.-Wed. and parents can purchase books onsite during Parent Teacher Conferences on Wed. & Thurs.

You can also place your order through the Online Bookfair link. The online bookfair will be open from Oct. 18-Oct. 29th.

Student Records

State law (KSA 72-53,106)states that we are required to have a copy of the child's birth certificate on file. This must be a registered copy from the Vital Statistics office and not a copy of a birth announcement from a hospital.

For all NEW incoming Kindergarten students, we require a birth certificate, shot records, a completed physical report and a copy of a utility bill or equivalent for proof of address.

A letter will be sent to the parents of those students without these records on file. These documents can be brought to the office to be copied, a student may bring copies to the school (originals will be returned home); scanned documents can be emailed to jstill1@tps501.org or they can be faxed to (785) 271-3794.

Counselor Website

Take a look at the October information on Mrs. Hight's parent page section on her website.

Student Needs Assessment Form

Please take a moment to complete the Student Needs Assessment form. This form helps us to identify the needs our students have as resources become available.

Masks

It is recommended that your child come to school with a backup mask in their bookbag as we are currently handing out several packages of masks to replace ones that are lost or soiled. Thank you for your partnership in helping us follow all COVID-19 safety protocols!

Water Bottles

The district provided all students received a water bottle at the start of the year. If your child's water bottle broke or is missing, please provide them with a water bottle from home as we no longer have extra water bottles to provide.

October PTO Meeting

We hope you can join us for the October PTO meeting on Monday, Oct. 25th at 6pm. The meeting will be held through this Zoom link. The Zoom link is also posted on our school website.
