Happy Friday!

Hello HHES Families,

Thank you all for joining us for our science fair today. The projects were amazing! Our students worked hard to share their learning with our community. It's one of our favorite days of the year. Students reported to us that they learned so much from their own research and experiments as well as from each other.

Next week, there isn't school on Friday, 1/27 for our semester break.

Report cards will be going home on Tuesday, January 31st. Please check your child's backpack.

Our 2nd graders have a concert on Thursday, February 2nd. Please join us at HHES at 6:30 pm for a wonderful show!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Clubs for Students!

We are excited to offer some after school experiences for our students. Some of our amazing community members volunteered to host four clubs. We want to send them a HUGE thank you for volunteering!

Clubs will start the week of February 6th.

Please use the following links to access more information about each individual club and to register. We do have an enrollment cap for each club that is offered.

Volleyball (5th grade students, ONLY)

Car Safety & Repair (4th & 5th, ONLY)

Pokemon (4th & 5th)

Cross Stitching (3rd, 4th, & 5th)

We tried really hard to coordinate with additional volunteers to host clubs for our younger students. Unfortunately, we weren't able to get any volunteers at this time.

BUT IT'S NOT TOO LATE!

If you are interested in hosting a lego club for K-2 students, we have legos!

If you are interested in hosting a drawing club, we supplies for this as well.

Or if you have another idea, we would love to brainstorm with you around it.

Please email Bess Colpron at bess.colpron@hocksd.org if you are interested!

5th Grade Band Families

There will be no band on Wednesday 1/25 and Thursday 1/26.

Thank you for your flexibility!

Please join us for our 2nd Grade Concert!

When: Thursday, February 2nd

Time: 6:30 pm

All students will be proficient in reading by the end of second grade and maintain proficiency until the end of fifth grade, because we believe reading is the key for all students to achieve their dreams.
