From the Principal
School Shorts
I have included below a screenshot from the UniformNZ website outlining our range of shorts to wear at school. I have had some feedback from our senior students around the options of wearing more 'sporty' types of shorts. I have asked the group of students to come back to us with some reasons and information as to the 'why' for change. I am happy to take this information to our next board meeting in week 9 to discuss the possibility of having a different type of short to wear - within the policy.
Until then the below is what is expected currently at school. As staff at school we are required to follow the policies set by out board of trustees - and they set the uniform policy. We will be asking those students who aren't wearing the correct uniform next week to comply with this. As always, at this time of year the Year 8 students won't be expected to buy new school uniform items so they are able to wear a different (and suitable) type of uniform item.

Thank you to all of our judges and to Roydon Brown for piping the parade on the day. I know you all took time out of your day to help and it is hugely appreciated. Without you the day wouldn't go ahead. To the parents, students, staff, community and committee members also thank you. It was great to see many families enjoying the day and we were also very lucky with the weather. Any feedback is greatly appreciated, we have some new ideas and look forward to another successful Pet Day next year.
