Guns and other dangerous weapons

Concealed weapons
Concealing weapons is one of the most contributing factors to murders in the U.S. , topping the scales with 16,272 murders in 2008. Concealed weapons are handguns, knives, pepper spray, etc.
Why I think this bad
There are too many guns across the U.S., and there are too many guns in kids reach. 42% of households in the US own a gun, and there are too many kids who can just go to their parents and say: "Mommy, can I take a gun too school?" Also, parents who have guns tend to teach their kid how to defend themselves with one. If so many people are murdered with guns, why don't we have guns at all?
Second...
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention say that Americans use guns to frighten away intruders who are breaking into their homes about 498,000 times per year. So many people own guns just to protect themselves, except they don't even need to. Eventually, their gun ends up in the attic, and his kid will be able to pick it up and do anything they want with it.
Firearms and other concealable weapons
A firearm is a portable gun. Firearms originated in China in the 13th century, but didn't become mass produced until the 1900s. Nowadays, about two hundred-seventy million firearms are carried by U.S. civilians, three hundred times as much as the police do. . Pepper spray is also a dangerous concealed weapon, that can spray toxic chemicals that can leave some burning in pain for up to six hours. Sometimes people can have allergic reactions to pepper spray and can possibly die.
Ending
Finally, I think we should be lucky to live in Ashland, because in some major cities there are so many violent crimes the police decide not to respond to them anymore. Gun control is getting better now though, for example, the violent crime rate was about 757 out of every 100,000 people in 1992, and it was lowered down to 385 in 2012. Thirty-three thousand people were victims of murder across the U.S in 2011. That seems pretty scary, but there are three hundred-seventeen million people across the U.S., that's like having less than one-one thousandth of a person in this class get murdered. So after all, concealed weapons are dangerous, but every year there are less and less violent crimes.
