About The Addams Family Young@Part

Celebrate the wackiness in every family with our best-selling Broadway musical adapted for young performers! Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family whom her parents have never met. She confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before– keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents.

Parent Preview Night is Wednesday, April 19. This is our final dress rehearsal and each cast member may have up to 2 audience members in attendance (more than 2 is fine if you have more than one set of parents or siblings who could not otherwise stay home by themselves). No RSVP or tickets are required.

Parent Volunteers

We rely on cast parent volunteers to help with set building and painting, ushering before performances, helping backstage during performances, striking the set after the final performance, helping during the cast pizza party, and various other duties. A complete list of parent volunteer duties and sign-up sheet will be available a few weeks before we move to the theater. Please consider pitching in to help us pull everything together!

Volunteer Stage Crew

If you have a child ages 12-15 who is interested in volunteering as a stage hand, please contact Laura (contact info below). This role requires you to be present for all tech rehearsals and performances Sunday, April 16 through Sunday, April 23. You will be trained by our stage manager and no special skills are required besides the ability to lift up to 30 lbs, bend, twist, and follow directions. This is not a paid position but I will be happy to sign any forms in order to count these as school volunteer hours! You will also receive 2 tickets to a performance of your choosing for friends or family members to enjoy the show as well.
