Chaplain's Message

Christ is Risen! Indeed he is Risen! The Easter liturgical season and Springtime invites us to reflect on new life. St. Paul teaches us that in belonging to Christ we become like Christ and hold a new status in God's eyes because of the sacrifice of Christ on the Cross. How are we called to respond to this gracious gift? We have been called to more.... we have been called to live for others- we bring about the Kingdom of God in the here in now. Let us pray for one another, be kind to one another, assume generously, and most importantly, above all else love one another.

Support for Ukraine

Over the past number of weeks, the entire EICS community has opened their hearts and shared with the EICS Support for Ukraine initiative. From friendship bracelets to school bake sales and art shows, a total of $22, 845.50. These funds have directly supported our sister school in Ukraine to help supply food and other necessities for those seeking refuge. So thankful to our amazing EICS community.

We are now beginning our second wave of fundraising initiatives to help support the refuge families who have arrived in our EICS Communities. Parents can donate at the link BELOW.

Spice Retreat

Mrs. Cossey and Ms. Twohey recently attended the SPICE (Sharing Purpose in Catholic Education) retreat where the theme was the art of accompaniment. The keynote speaker was David Wells who talked about how we can accompany our students, parents, colleagues, family etc. As a Catholic school we pride ourselves in the calling we have been given by God to educate your children, be present, and accompany them shoulder to shoulder on our journey together. A quote from David Wells, "Nothing you can do will make God love you more. God made you in the palm of his hand. You are just the way you were meant to be".

NEW! 2022-2023 School Year Calendar - Approved by EICS

Common Topics and Quick Links

OLPH Parish

  1. A Reminder about spring registration for First Reconciliation & First Holy Communion INCLUDING a special invitation for family whose children age 7-10 are not yet Baptized. We have special preparation available for those families so the little ones can be welcomed in Baptism during the Easter season then go on to celebrate the other sacraments with their classmates. Please share widely in your classrooms! A direct invitation from the grade 2-4 teachers would be extremely helpful.
  2. Invitations for two different adult Faith Formation opportunities being offered in April by the parish GiFT Committee (Growing in Faith Together.) Please share with all EICS staff and parents. You do not need to be an OLPH parishioner to participate.
Pope Francis Easter Blessing

In this address, he prays with us for peace in war torn countries and for reconciliation, among many other things.
