Rule #1: Digital Etiquette

Digital Etiquette is when going online be nice and respectful to everyone. So think before you post and if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. You don't want to be seen as a bully and hurt anyone's feelings. Don't cyberbully!

Rule #2: Information Privacy

Don't give out any personal information to anyone for surveys or ANYTHING! If you give out any personal information online then the person you give it to can do SPAM or bad things.

Rule #3: Social Networking

If you do have a social network make sure only people you know and trust see your profile. Keep your profile with only stuff appropriate that you are O.K with your parents seeing.

Rule #4: Online Safety

Don't give out any personal information and stay anonymous. Don't give any detail for your identity. Update your parents on everything and involve them in need.

Rule #5: Cyber Bullying

Cyber bullying is a form of bullying online or on social networking. It can hurt someones feelings and may ever come right back at you.

Rule #6: Plagiarism

Plagiarism is when you steal someones information etc. Plagiarism can get you in a lot of trouble but even if you do use someones work credit them and ask permission from that personn

Rule #7: Copyright

Copyright is legal protection of something that is yours for example: information, pictures, and videos/movies etc. Nobody can use your information without your permission. Note that someone can sue you or you can sue someone who commits copyright.

Why is Digital Citizenship important and what is it?

Digital Citizenship is rules you should follow online to keep you out of trouble or if you don't have Digital Citizenship you can get into trouble. Digital Citizenship is important because it can cause trouble or it can help you. Digital Citizenship is quite easy to have, but for some people not as easy. Make sure to always have Digital Citizenship to stay out of trouble.
