CRES Fest
CRES Fest was a HUGE success this year! Thank you to everyone that came out to enjoy a wonderful night of fun with your fellow Roadrunners. The game wing had more children than ever before, the food trucks served incredible food and we surpassed our goal with the silent auction! We are still finalizing numbers from CRES Fest, but will be reporting totals at our next PTO Open Forum meeting on Tuesday, May 3rd at 7:00 in the Art room. Please join us for this meeting, as we would love to hear feedback about the event!
We want to give a BIG thank you to everyone who volunteered with CRES Fest both at the event itself, and with all the preparation leading up to it. The event would not be possible without an ensemble of amazing volunteers; and we are so appreciative of everyone who made this event possible! Thank you!
Meet your 2016-2017 PTO Executive Board
President – Tabbatha Collier
I'm Tabbatha Collier, and I'm honored to serve as the President of the CRES PTO for another school year. I am mom to Madeline who is moving on to Sand Creek Intermediate in the fall, Truman who will be in 2nd grade, and Gretta who is a three-year-old lab mix who rescued me about two years ago. Besides mom and PTO President, I'm also known as the cabi Girl because I have the privilege of serving and working alongside amazing women as a cabi Stylist. Connection and collaboration are at the core of what I do at work, at home, and at CRES.
It is crazy to think that it has been three years since I first stated my desire to be part of the CRES PTO Executive Board to help foster positive relationships within our school community. So much has been accomplished since that day, and I'm so grateful to have been a small part of all of it. An incredible foundation has been laid, and we get to build from there. So exciting!
Vice-President – Jessica Benjamin
Hi! My name is Jessica Benjamin and I will be joining your CRES PTO executive board for the 2016-2017 school year as the vice president! I have been a class room mom for 2 years and I am excited about where next year will take us! I am married to an amazingly funny, drive-me-crazy, great catch type of guy and mom to my treasured trio, two boys (Zion, 9 and Israel, 6) and a girl (Bella, 4).
I recently completed my degree in Early Childhood Education and teach Pre-K at an amazing private school on the west side of Indy. I enjoy spending time with God, family, and friends. I also like playing games of all sorts and enjoying outdoors when Indiana weather and my allergies choose to cooperate. I love arts and crafts, music, all things Disney and superhero, and chocolate, lots of chocolate!
I look forward to continuing to support our amazing CRES school, staff, and families in this upcoming year!
Member-at-Large – Kara Cantwell
Originally from Cape Girardeau, Missouri where I was born and raised (The oldest of 3 kids)… I met my husband who brought me to Fishers via his construction career. We have lived in Fishers now for 13 years. In that time, we have had 3 kids: Mason (6), Lily (4), and Audrey (2-1/2). Before kids, I was an Office Manager for a local accounting firm. Now I am beyond blessed to be a stay-at-home mom, raising my 3 kids, while coaching gymnastics and dance at the Fishers YMCA.
My hobbies include “Pretties & Sparklies by Kara,” and assisting with “JAB Creations.” I also enjoy traveling to visit family and getaways with my husband of 14 years. I am so excited to be your new “PTO Member-at-Large!”
Treasurer – Dodi Poynter
My name is Dodi Poynter and I would like to thank you for the opportunity to serve as your Cumberland Road PTO Treasurer. I have been married to my husband, Mike, for 15 years. We have lived in Auburn Springs for 12 years until we recently purchased a home in Rosewood. We have four children – Mason is a 5th grader at Sand Creek Intermediate, Madelyn is a 4th grader in Mr. Stage’s classroom, and my twins Helen and Emma will be attending Kindergarten in the fall. Our family is actively involved in our parish, St. Vianney of Fishers. When we are not busy with sports, we enjoy camping.
Secretary – Audra Pooley
I am Audra Pooley, and I am thrilled to be serving as your PTO Secretary for another school year. Married to my husband, Ryan, for nearly 15 years, we have two amazing daughters. Quinn is currently in Mr. Stage’s 4th grade classroom and Sullivan Grace is in Mrs. Carrell/Knutson’s 1st grade classroom.
Originally from South Dakota, my husband’s job brought us to Fishers nearly two years ago. Before that time, I was blessed to be an elementary special education teacher. I took time off from teaching last year to get our family settled and to become an active volunteer at CRES. Missing the daily interactions with children, I sought an opportunity to serve as a part-time instructional assistant at Fall Creek Elementary this year, and love every aspect of my job!
I look forward to the opportunity to serve the students, teachers, and families of CRES next year. It will be an amazing year!
Attention 4th Grade Families
