Dear Jaguar Families,

There are several events coming up soon. Please be sure to check out the fliers and information below.

Please note that we will have a lockdown drill during the week of December 12th. We notify families ahead of time so they can alert their students to the drill. Teachers will also alert students during homeroom that the drill will be coming sometime next week. This is done in order to alleviate the anxiety that can be associated with running the drill.

• Cell phones and electronic devices are to remain silenced and put away during the school day. This includes AirPods.

• The student dress code states that all shirts must cover the torso and sides of the body. The rule of thumb to help students remember this is, the bottom of their shirt must touch the top of their pants. Please help us with enforcing this rule.

Students who arrive late must be signed-in by a parent for it to be marked as an "excused" tardy.

Please read the following information regarding student absences. You can find more about absences at the following link Arizona Department of Education.

• Pursuant to A.R.S. § 15-901(A)(1), excused absences are identified by the Department of Education. The Department of Education defines an excused absence as an absence due to illness, doctor appointment, bereavement, family emergencies, and out-of-school suspensions. Excused absences due to out-of-school suspensions must not exceed 10% of the instructional days scheduled for the school year. The Department of Education delegates the decision of whether an absence due to family vacation is an excused absence to individual school districts and charter districts.

HOW CAN I TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE TAX CREDIT?

Complete the attached form and return to the school of your choice by April 15, 2023 or mail to the District Office prior to April 15, 2023 in order to take it off your State of Arizona taxes at the time you file for 2022.
