You're invited to Freedom's Community Block Party
You are welcome to attend the event as a family/community member. I have just had a lot of emails asking how people can get involved.
Here's how you can get involved-
- If you have a special/unique talent and you want to showcase your talent, DO IT! Let's have fun! It does not have to be academic-related. For example, I had a parent that was a hula hoop champ. Yes, that exists! She would do demonstrations and then have the families/community participate. Another parent was a wiz at cup stacking. He would set up cup stacking stations and do mini competitions. Families loved it.
- If you want to be part of the planning, our next planning event is Tuesday, July 28th @ 1:30-Pizza with the principal. Both staff and families are welcome to participate.
- If you want to participate but do not want to come to a meeting, just text, call, or email me what you would like to do.
- We are looking for community involvement-if you know of anyone that would like to set up a table for their local business or do an activity, please invite them to our block party. If they need more details, have them call me or provide me with their contact information, and I would be happy to reach out.
- We are also looking for parents to decorate selfie stations inside and outside the building before the event.
- Needs-
- Someone to wear the falcon!
- Greeters
- People to help with getting families/community to sign in and take our survey (QRL Code, google form)t
- water stations
- Create/set up selfie stations
- Face painting station
- Baloon animal station

- Yes, your child must be currently enrolled as a kindergarten-5th grade student at the school you wish to participate in. Kindergarteners and new students who are enrolled and beginning school in the fall of 2022 at the school may also sign up.
- What are the hours?
- The enrichment programming begins at the end of the school day, and runs until 5:30 pm on school days. Programming will not be available on school breaks, non-student contact days, weather days, or over the summer.
- What is the cost?
- Schools will offer this programming at little to no cost to parents. Please stay tuned for further details.
