Weekly Updates/ Reminders:
- Thank you to everyone for implementing the attendance phone call protocol and inputing your notes daily. Please make sure you look for notes from Ms. Russell as well, if a family calls in she will input the notes into the comments section.
- Awesome start to Pennies for Patients... keep up the great work.... maybe the top collecting class should pie Mr. Cherry in the face....
- Summative Evaluations will take place this week.
- Don't forget to sign up for the optional Summer Teacher Summit if you are interested, it is now listed on My Learning Plan.
- Members of our Building Leadership Team presented our Strategic Plan to School Smart Kansas City Grant Presentation.
- All bulletin boards should be up to date with current student work and current student work should be posted in classrooms at all times.
- If you are going out for outdoor recess you must ensure that you go out during. your planned time only.
- ACTION: Please ensure that you are still posting your daily attendance outside of your classroom door on your attendance frame. This should be a student job within your classroom.

Professional Development
- Wednesday, April 18, 2018 Professional Development: MAP Prep- we will begin promptly at 7:40
- All district level PD has been cancelled for the remainder of the year and will now be building level PD

- I can statements that align to the MO Learning Standard and are in student friendly language.
- Student task aligned to Missouri Learning Standard
- Small group and guided reading group instruction
- Continue working on incorporating DOK 3 and DOK4 questions into your lessons during guided practice and utilizing exit tickets that incorporate writing, explanation and evidence from the text
- Data Team analysis implemented into daily classroom instruction
- Daily implementation of writing

- As we enter the 4th quarter of the school year, relationships are as important as ever.

Shout Outs
- All staff who stepped up during Friday dismissal, we couldn't have done it without you-- this is what teamwork is all about... seeing the deficits and jumping right in to fill them.
- Those attendance team members who continually show up every Tuesday at 8 am to help attendance at the forefront of our priorities
- BLT for working diligently to put together a 3 year Strategic Growth Plan in effort to win the $600,000 grant School Smart Kansas City is offering.
- Ms. Wilson, Ms. Egli, Ms. Aguilera, Ms.Quigley and Ms. Harnage for helping present our Strategic Growth Plan... you all did an AMAZING job!
- Mr. Steinhorst & Ms. Miller for jumping in Thursday morning and helping get everyone settled in a classroom.
- Ms. Pearl for really stepping up to the plate and going above and beyond to make sure her 2nd grade class gets the education they deserve.
