CLMS Family Update

April 8, 2022

From CLMS Principal, Mr. Eric Pettit

Good Afternoon CLMS Families!

It has been a full week at CLMS! It has hard to believe that we are in the final quarter of the school year. Students have done a wonderful job transitioning back from Spring Break as teachers have reviewed classroom exceptions.

There are several exciting trips that our students will be taking over the next few months. Our 5th and 7th grade students will be visiting the Ohio State House towards the end of April, 6th grade students will be off to camp in May, and our 8th grade students will be traveling to Washington D.C. It will be a busy final quarter of the year! More information on these trips will be coming from your student's classroom teacher.

Included in this update are several pieces of information regarding accessing Quarter 3 grades, our upcoming author visit, and more! Thank you for taking the time to read this newsletter and please contact the CLMS office if you have any questions!

As always, Go Pirates!

Quarter 3 Report Cards

As a reminder, families can access their student's report card via PowerSchool. Families can follow the same steps as in the first and second quarters to see grades. Grade cards are now available to be viewed for quarter 3! You can click the link or watch the video below to see instructions on retrieving the report card.

No School Friday, April 15th

As a reminder, there is no school on Friday, April 15th. There will not be a weekly update next week. The CLMS offices will also be closed. Enjoy the 3-Day weekend!

Author Visit

CLMS is excited to welcome graphic novel/DC Comics authors Kate Karyus Quinn and Demitria Lunetta along with Cardington’s Mindy McGinnis to talk with students in grades 5-8 about the writing process, publication, and answering any of our students’ questions. They will visit with grades 7 and 8 on April 22nd and grades 5 and 6 on Wednesday, April 26th. Students will also have the opportunity to purchase their newest book, Anti/Hero and have it signed by the authors! Follow the link below to purchase with a credit card!

5th Grade Families Only

Your student should have brought home the permission form below for an upcoming health lesson. The lesson will now take place on Wednesday, April 27th instead of April 25th as originally planned. We are asking that all 5th grade students turn in the form no later than Tuesday, April 12th.
