Babysitting will be provided for this meeting.

Earth Day - Friday, May 10

Vernfield's Earth Day celebration is next Friday! Students will be outside approximately 2 hours in the morning or in the afternoon. Please consider having your child wear the following:

  • long pants
  • hat
  • comfortable older clothing and shoes
  • sunscreen
  • insect/tick repellent.

Students are also encouraged to bring an extra pair of shoes or boots since the trail can be muddy, and a water bottle (there will be refilling stations available outside for their use).

The Earth Day Committee needs to borrow a number of items to make our Earth Day successful. All items will be returned to owners. Please see the Earth Day Supplies Sign Up to see if you can help!

VOLUNTEERS: There is a meeting on Sunday, May 5th @ 7:00 PM at VF Playground (behind school). We will go over the schedule, map of station locations and provide a detailed plan for each of the stations (lesson plans, materials needed, etc.).

If you have any questions or would like to help with Earth Day, please contact Meg Dick (meg213@gmail.com).
