History of Earth Day
Earth day was first celebrated in 1970. Gaylord Nelson thought to himself that we needed a day every year to help Earths environment. Now we know that day as Earth Day. Earth day is celebrated on April 22. Did you know on April 22 1970 Nelson got more than 20 million demonstrators and thousands of schools, and local communities to demonstrators.
