Has your child been keeping Track of their READING MINUTES?
IMPORTANT NEEDS!
- Every student will need working headphones. The STAAR assessment is electronic this year. Your child will need headphones that are compfortable because they will be wearing them for four hours for three different days (math, reading, and science). It is very important that your child can hear directions loudly enough, so please check them in advance.
- Highlighters and color pencils: Your child will need these as we practice making anecdotal notes on hard copies of texts. These were in supply lists at the beginning of the year, but many of the students have misplaced them or they need replacement due to overuse.
- Student Computers need to be FULLY CHARGED! More and more students are coming to school with computers dieing within the first few hours of school. This tool is very important for instruction and it is vital that they are recharged every evening. Please ensure that your child is keeping up with their responsibility.
The application deadline for the 2023-2024 AVID elective class is February 22, 2023.
