Principal's Message:

We hope you and your family had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. As November draws to a close, we head into the month of December which is always a crazy time of year. To stay in the know of all that is going on this month in addition ""The Week Ahead" please be sure to visit the district website as well as PTO facebook pages for more information on events. There are so many events to celebrate the holidays and bring the year to a close.

UTMS Yearbook:

The UTMS Yearbook is currently on sale for pre-order. Pre-ordering a yearbook is the only way to purchase a yearbook for the 2022-2023 School Year, due to the rising costs of printing extra books, there will be no yearbooks available for purchase after the deadline to order.


Order your yearbook by December 16 at the price of $36, the price increases to $40 after this date. CLICK HERE to order your yearbook.


8th Grade families if you would like to place a "Recognition Ad" in the yearbook you can complete that using the same link.

NJHS Holiday Food Drive

NJHS Volunteer Hours for Food Drive

The Upper Township Middle School National Junior Honor Society is hosting their annual Food Drive to support our local Branches Outreach Center. We encourage all students to participate and help those in need as we enter the Holiday Season.


Any student who is not currently a member of the NJHS can earn volunteer hours by participating in the food drive. If they are planning to donate to the food drive and wish to receive community service hours for doing so, they will need to follow the steps listed below, carefully, completely, and correctly.

  1. Before bringing in your donation, you should print and fill out the NJHS Volunteer Hours form which can be found on our website.

    1. Each item you donate will equal 15 minutes of community service.

    2. You may submit a form for up to 8 items for a total of 2 service hours, however there is no cap on the amount you can donate.

  2. When you bring your donation in to your homeroom teacher, have him/her sign your NJHS Volunteer Hours form. (That form can be found here)

  3. The completed and signed hours form must be uploaded into Genesis under the Community Service tab. (More specific directions for this process can be found on our website.)

The Upper Township Middle School Choir & Band Concert will be held on Wednesday, December 14 at 7:00 in the UTMS Gym. We hope to see you all there.

First Trimester Report Cards

A reminder that the first trimester ends on Friday, December 2, First Trimester Report Cards will be posted to the Genesis Parent Portal on Friday, December 9.

December Student Reward

UTMS will be hosting a day full of fun games, raffles, and activities at the end of the month. This event is held for only those students who have zero disciplinary referrals for the month of December.

We had a great turnout for both Boys and Girls Basketball tryouts. The coaches were impressed with everyone's hard work and wish they could keep all students on their teams. Thank you to all who participated in tryouts and congratulations to those who earned a spot on a team.
